Jenna Stirling (she/her)

Jenna (she/her) graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences (Honours). She continued her education at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON where she attained a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Following completion of her degree, Jenna moved to St. John’s, NL where she began a practice in orthopedics and pelvic health physiotherapy. Jenna returned to her home province, Nova Scotia, to continue her career in physiotherapy and has been a practitioner at Synergy Physiotherapy + Pilates since 2017.

Jenna treats a mixed caseload of orthopedic and pelvic health physiotherapy patients at Synergy as well as teaches several PhysioPilates classes. Jenna believes in a patient-centered care approach that begins with listening to the patient’s story and developing a treatment plan together that addresses the patient’s goals. She has a strong background in manual therapy and exercise science that she incorporates into her treatment model.

Jenna values education and is takes an active role in educating her community by teaching physiotherapy labs to students at Dalhousie Physiotherapy, offering clinic mentorships to physiotherapy students and residents, presenting to various health care organizations in the community, and offering labour and birth workshops to expecting parents.

Outside of the physiotherapy practice, Jenna enjoys staying active through a variety of activities including running, swimming, soccer, yoga and Pilates practice. However, her primary enjoyment in life is spending time with her young daughter, Ivy, and Great Dane, Juno.
