Postpartum Massage
Birth is challenging and can have many impacts on the body. Many people deal with postpartum pain, stress and sleep disturbances, as well as many other issues depending upon the individual and the birth itself. Postpartum massage can help you with:

Muscle and joint pain

Breast/chest pain, breast engorgement
-
Preventing mastitis

Cesarean birth scar tissue

Breast/chest massage
Breast massage can be an integral part of postpartum care. Massage can reduce tension in muscles that commonly compress the lymphatics within the chest and armpit, resulting in poor lymph drainage. Proper lymph drainage is important for the prevention and treatment of engorgement and blocked ducts, and the prevention of mastitis. Callee can also provide education on how to perform breast massage at home for milk production and lymph drainage.
Breast/chest massage therapy can also provide relief for:
-
painful breast/chest tissue, swelling or tenderness
-
pre or post menstrual congestion
-
breast/chest scarring following surgery or medical procedure
-
shoulder dysfunction (ie. frozen shoulder)
